The structure of Dunlop tire SP492 has been designed specifically for mines, quarries and, in general, to any place where there are rocky surfaces, sharp rocks an mud. The sidewalls of the new deck are reinforced to maximize resistance to lateral impact and cuts in the tread through unique technology TPL (Top Layer Polyamide-belt upper polyamide).

This technology consists of a polyamide protective barrier between the tread and tarpaulins high strength steel, which protects against damage by belts and prevents penetration addition, the moisture between the casing and oxide tarpaulins, what could cause the tire retreading to be unusable.
